FAQ’s
Getting started:
Is my business too small for this?
Almost certainly not. Every business has its own tipping point for when data analytics starts paying off. Implementing too early results in lack of preparation or direction to act on what you find; wait too long and risk a tedious and uncomfortable onboarding process. Book a call with us to identify where and when data analytics will bring you the greatest return.
What if my systems aren’t set up well enough for this yet?
We can help get your processes and workflows ready. If you’re collecting data in any form, we can work at that starting point. From there, we’ll help implement a system to track details like job type, job count, crew assigned, etc.
What industries do you work with?
We work with many industries. The beauty of data analytics is it applies to all business types. Not sure if you fit? Reach out anyway. If it’s not a match, we can point you in the right direction.
Do I need to know anything about data analytics myself?
None at all. I will share and coach on the discoveries we make, but our goal is to keep things simple on your end. The plain things are the main things – we do the digging, chasing down trends and identifying patterns in the weeds, so by the time it reaches your team, it’s in plain English with clear, actionable insight.
How can I prepare for an easy implementation process?
Use our resources on effective data processes and workflows to gauge how ready your data actually is. The more boxes you check for clean and consistent data entry, the faster we can get to work. Still not sure where you stand? Reach out, and let’s talk through what’s already working well and what needs to change to set your team up for the smoothest start possible.
What if I don’t have much historical data to start with?
Historical data helps you see results faster, but its absence doesn’t take away from the value you’ll get. Results may take a bit longer to surface but results will still come. Reach out and we can help identify where you may not realize you have historical data already.
How it works:
What systems do you work with?
We work with any system that can produce a report as a CSV or XLSX file. This includes, but is not limited to: QuickBooks, Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, PaintScout or manually maintained internal spreadsheets.
What does the process look like?
This is discussed in further during our discovery call, as each client calls for a custom approach. Nonetheless, our typical process is as follows: discovery call, contract review, initial data review, integrated data setup, an official go-live review, and ongoing report calls on a monthly/quarterly cadence – dependent on contract agreement. (Additional review sessions are available)
How is this different from just hiring an analyst or using generic BI software?
There are plenty of options and some may genuinely be a better fit for you. That’s the purpose of our free discovery call. The goal is to point you in the right direction, even if that isn’t with us.
That said, here’s how we compare: hiring an analyst in-house typically costs 3-6x more than our services. Generic BI software takes real time to learn, and if it’s built with AI or off-the-shelf templates, it often stays generic rather than reflecting how your specific business actually runs. Going either of those routes usually means climbing a learning curve that may include coding, visualization, and process improvement on your own. Levo Insight has built these systems many times over, and we’ve already run into the pitfalls you’d otherwise hit for the first time. Working with us gets you your time back, in addition to the professional-grade service at a fraction of the cost.
When will I see results from implementing your services?
We are not a magic pill or a quick fix. Most clients start seeing meaningful results 4-8 months after implementation – sooner if starting with solid historical data. The results take time, but they’re built to last. Our engagement structure exists specifically to give our team enough runway with yours to get you there, rather than rushing something short-lived.
What does the reporting cadence look like – how often do I hear from you?
We offer two main cadences – monthly or quarterly: we recommend monthly for clients just getting started, since it builds the habits of checking in regularly. Once you’ve established solid practices and consistent follow through, moving to a quarterly review often works just as well. Either way, you’ll always have access to updated dashboards monthly – the difference is really in how often we sit down together to review them.
Commitment & trust:
How long does the initial build out take?
This depends on how much data we aggregate and connect. More data generally means better results, but also comes with a longer build-out. Typical process runs 2-4 weeks from your initial data review call to your official go-live review.
Why is there a six-month minimum?
It allows enough time to properly determine whether this is genuinely a good fit for your business. Although we typically recommend a 12-month commitment.
Who owns the dashboards and reports?
The dashboards and report templates themselves are built and owned by Levo Insight, though you’re always welcome to keep copies of what’s shared with you. The raw data behind them, however, is always yours. If services end, ongoing access to live dashboards and new reports stop.
